Ring Turn Knife

Post by smiling-knife »

Hi, not much happening here lately so I thought I would post something. This little penknife has rings that one turns to open the blades. I have seen these referred to as a 'blindman's knife' but that doesn't really make sense to me. Anyway... I think it is interesting. It has 'genuine' Ivorine scales which, as we know from a previous thread, is a faux ivory composite made from a dairy by-product. :) s-k

That's a cool little knife! Thanks for sharing it. ::nod:: ::tu::

I've got one in that style on order from Canal Street Cutlery here in the States (New York). I think they are very cool. 8)

Hi...Thanks for the comments ::tu:: Yes, it does have a backspring. It snaps open and closed just like other folders with a spring. The baldes have nail nicks so can be opened normally as well as by turning the rings. Looking forward to seeing a modern version from you El Lobo. :) s-k

Here is their standard version.....

Several of us have ordered one in Stag... (not SandBar, however  ) ...to arrive in about a month. I'll be happy to post one of my crummy pictures ( ) when mine arrives.
