Schrade New york knife co. knives 70's vintage?
Hey guys, help me out a little here. Abuddy of mine picked up 3 knives at a gun show that were made by Schrade in Ellenville New york and have the original boxes with them but are stamped New York Knife Co. The handles are stag and there was a trapper, 3 blade stockman and a muskrat. the stag on all of them was stunning! does anybody know what the story was on these, or an idea of what they are worth?

Justin,
I can't tell you about the particular knives you are interested in, but I can tell you that in 1985 Schrade made a reproduction of the first official Boy Scout knife which had been made by the New York Knife Co. (Done for the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts in America) It bore the NYK tang stamp. Perhaps that had some relationship to the knives you are asking about. Good luck in your quest.

A bit late for an answer but here you go! not exactly sure about date, possibly late 80's or early 90's. They were indeed made by Schrade as a commemorative to NYK company. The knive patterns used were, Trapper, Stockman, Muskrat and a small hunter pattern, the same shape as an Old Timer 152 model. The Stag on all the models was outstanding.
