My Latest

Post by gmusic »

It's been a long dry spell..............but I finally got one some what finished, it still needs a little touch-up work and a sheath. This is number 10, I'm getting a little more confident with my work. Someday I'll be happy enough with it to the point I'll sell a few. I made a mistake on this one I have made once before. ::tired::

I made a mistake on this one I have made once before.

What would she cost with your mistake.

I could use that one. I have many fixed blades but they are not for using.

Can you put a sharp edge on her for me? ::tu::

Thanks guys!

Here it is finished. I had to clean up the solder joint, pin the handle and finish the blade.

Great looking knife there Gary! ::tu:: ::tu:: Looks like your makers mark will need to be etched rather than stamped. I would not call that a mistake - looking good! ::tu:: ::tu::

If that is what you are calling a mistake. Then I am still wanting her.

You never did PM me on this knife yet.

Ken, thanks for your interest!

I may be to much of a perfectionist but I just don't feel it's time for me to sell.......................yet. It won't be to much longer and I'll please myself, then watch out...............lol!

The missing mark is not the mistake, I'm waiting for stencils to arrive then I can mark it.

OK I'll tell ya. I try to leave the tangs as wide as possible for added strength. You have to slot the material that goes over the tang right! Well.............one must be very careful not to grind into that slot when shaping the handle.........yep, you got it! Now I have a small brownish spot in the bottom of the first washer where I ground to close. Not a concern structurally, but aesthetically, it's a no-no.

Anyhow.............................
