Interesting find on Ebay
I want to bid, but can't find any information on the pearl galvanic in this auction. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to AAPK
We have a collector/member here whose screen name is, "Galvanic1882". Maybe he'll be along directly to help.
I don't have access to any references right now, and my memory is failing me at the moment.
Old American company, though. I cannot provide dates.

According to Goins, Galvanic 1882 was a trademark used by J.B.F. Champlin from 1882-1890.

I wonder if these were produced before or during production of Cattaraugus knives.

Re: Interesting find on Ebay
Hi All, I bought the knife on ebay but have not been able to contact the person who started the thread. I was hoping he would send a message back so I could give him more info but have not heard from him. I will post some good pictures of it and the other one I have marked GALVANIC1882.

The galvanic knife is pearl for sure but the one with the corkscrew is celluloid. I bought them for the galvanic of course. That is only the second one I have ever seen marked that way and I have the other one.
