Case Sidewinder - What did they sell for new?

Hello, can you tell me the original price in 1981 of the Case Sidewinder knife? Thanks for any info.

Not sure what they went for in 1981; but a heck of a lot less than; they do on eBay . I bought one from SMKW in 1989 for $75. On eBay they are going for around $225 - $240; mint with box and sheath.

The Sidewinder first showed up in the Oct 1, 1980 price list...retail $76.50.

At that time the dealer cost each would have been half of that.

I have seen an original price sticker on a Sidewinder box at a gun show and it read $85. The dealer was asking $275.00. I own four of these great knives and the most I've paid was $225, which included original box, sheath, papers and a never carried or sharpened knife. The knife was as close to perfect as you can get. :D

I absolutely love this knife pattern and wish Case or somebody would bring it back.
