It has a nice long blade, and I am really starting to prefer a slipjoint with a blade of 3 ¼” to 3 ½”. Like a large sodbuster. Starting to accrue a few. Seems to me to be the best kind of working knife
The Fontenille Pataud is a real slicer. Flat ground and 3mm at the spine, it is nevertheless quite fine because of the overall breadth of the blade.
Think I am going to like this one. I have a few French regional slipjoints of similar design. I like them all but the overall glamour of this one is pretty compelling
