Guys,
This link will take you to a sale of a supposed New York Knife Co stockman and I cannot believe it to be an old knife.
Does anyone know if someone is now making this brand again?

Re: New York Knife Co
You know I recently bought an item from that seller, and couldn't not think I got Railroaded! (He should change his name!) But I got the item and it wasn't much and everything was fine. It was that unfinished Remington Candy Striped toothpick, I think I paid 20 for. My 7 year old loves it because he can handle the unfinished blades!
Much of my thinking about being railroaded had to do with other listing such as this stockman.

Ray,
Schrade made some special commemorative knives with the NYK name on them.
I think that is one of them.
From the looks of the stag, that one may have been done by Herman Williams.
Maybe Eric or LT know for sure

Re: New York Knife Co
Ray,
Dale's right, it's a Schrade knife done to commemorate NYK's anniversary (125th perhaps?). I'm not sure when it was done, sometime in the early nineties I think. It's not a Williams knife though, those are the burnt stag handles that were used on that knife. They also did a trapper and a muskrat, and all of them were available in jigged bone as well. It's a nice knife, but definitely not a vintage NYK. I don't think he's trying to railroad anyone on this one though as he does mention its makeup, including stainless blades which would have been quite the rarity on a NYK knife
