Over the years I've seen a ton of fake Case Knives with that same jigging. They are always stainless steel and while the craftsmanship on them isn't bad at all, there is absoutely nothing about them that is Case. I took the liberty of sending a message to the seller to let them know what they had and even mentioned that I'm not a dealer and have nothing to gain (or lose) by letting them know it is fake. What they choose to do now is entirely up to them. I believe the "Maker" was from this part of Ohio and passed away a few years ago, so they pop up much less frequently than they used to, but it seems like he sure make a LOT of them. The 6380 Whittler and Canoe seemed to be a couple of his favorites as I've seen quite a few of them in the past.

He revised the listing and even posted your message, Bob.

Maybe he's a stand up guy after all. ::tu::

The jigging on that knife is absolutely diagnostic in my opinion, it's nothing like real Case jigging and fortunately it's easy to spot.
