I been on the road all week so I could never check the books. But I think this is a 63 Eisenhower pattern, and I was guessing it was green bone.
I missed the end of the auction, I think I would have bid it up a bit more but there were some things that made me uncomfortable about the knife. This is not a pattern I collect so I don't have any old examples either.

Very nice knife and not a thing incorrect about it...I believe it to be a 6279, definitely not an 06263 Eisenhower.

79 was my other thought, but the way he said oval made me think 63.
