what's a gator tag run? what do you do with it?
No let me clarify myself. The Gator Trapper is licensed and has gone through the proper certification with the Florida Freshwater & Game commission. He then can legally by use of tags remove alligators from the property I manage. To be able to be licensed you have to pay certain fees and have a certain amount of education requirements completed before you are legally able to hunt gators. This is why I forget the actual cost for each tag because I don't have to worry about it.jonet143 wrote:so, as a resident you are allowed open harvest for personal use? profit? game management? safety concerns? i have seen gator farms where they are raised for profit.
Oh darn, I was hoping you used your Case trapper with carbon steel blades.sunburst wrote:Normally a gator is caught by a hook & line using a beef lung. Once the gator is hooked you slowly pull the animal onto the edge of the bank where you bang stick or shoot it with a rifle.
