Henckels info?
I just won this, only one pic and not much info. I'm thinking it'll turn out to be a copperhead, but even at that I feel I did OK. Any thoughts on the age of ones with the black shield and red & white box? Thanks.

I'm not sure on the exact age but it's definitely not an "antique" as it's a modern Henckels.

Yeah, it's funny how they bounce around the terms like vintage, antique or mint !!

2000-2004 Stainless HK04 in FOI (Fossil Ivory Bone) or MHG (Mohagany Bone) looks to me.
Made by Boker and looks like you got a good deal.

Got the knife today, it is a copperhead like I suspected. I view a copperhead as a small version of a folding hunter, so all is good! Box says "HK-0003 FLIV". Fossil Ivory bone? I know it's real purty!!!

Then it is the wrong box, as it should be "HK004 FLIV" or "HK004 FOI". Standard stockman is a "3", copperhead is a "4". But no problem with that.foldinghunter wrote:Got the knife today, it is a copperhead like I suspected. I view a copperhead as a small version of a folding hunter, so all is good! I have the same knife and I believe it is from the early 2000's
It has the same box also and the price you paid is in line with henckels from the 2000's
It is a nice knife. I have a few Henckels and love them all.

To help you the next time ( not that you did any bad).
I see this "Returns: No Returns Accepted"
Not saying the seller is bad but I give it a long time of thinking before I bid on a knife when I see that.
No dout you have a gr8 deal. She will always be worth what you pisd for her. Henckelels are long lasting knives.(provided you not loose her..

The BLACK sheild means it is Stain Less Steel in most cases on them Henckels.

Yeah I agree with justold
you got a nice knife at a decent price .
Its just a newer knife, but its still a nice one.
I would love to have it in my collection.

Looks good setting on the display shelf with the rest of my hunters. Like I said, it's just a smaller version of a folding hunter and that ain't a bad thing!
