NEEDS HELP WITH GREAT EASTERN NORTHFIELD

I SEE IN MY STANDARD KNIFE COLLECTORS GUIDE NORTHFIELD KNIFE CO. WAS FROM 1858 TO 1964. CONN??
HOW DOES GREAT EASTERN ENTER IN TO THIS, ARE GREAT EASTERN MADE IN JAPAN? ARE THEY STILL MADE TODAY, AND IS THERE ANY THING TO WATCH OUT FOR? THEY ALL SEEM TO GO FOR GOOD MONEY ON E-BAY. THANKS FOR THE HELP IN ADVANCE.

Great Eastern is a new company(2006). They own the trademark for northfield,and now make them in Pennsylvania,along with the tidioute and great eastern brands..In my opinion,they make the best production knife today. Here is their website.

Great Eastern,patterns and production numbers,that have been made to date, are listed in the new 2010, Pocket Knife Traders ( vol.#9 )-------no price guide,but lots of help and information on the company---100% American made knives ---- company phone number,is,814-827-3411 ------------------good luck Monk :wink:

IM VERY GLAD I ASKED, THIS SOUNDS LIKE THE BIGGEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED WITH KNIVES IN YEARS. SOME OF THEM WILL END UP IN MY COLLECTION, THANKS.
