Case XX 6249 on EBay
http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-RARE-CASE-X ... %26ps%3D63
This is a knife I was looking at on EBay. There is an overhead view(3rd from last), looking down into the liners, which barely shows the tangs. Does the blade tang at the top (which I think is the master tang stamped blade) look thinner than the secondary blade? I've looked at some of my other Case XX two blades, and there isn't that much difference in tang widths, if any. I've got other observations about this knife, but I was wanting to get some more opinions regarding this knife, especially on the tang widths. My thanks in advance.

It is a fake. There is nothing about it that is original to a 6249 XX era knife.

Look close at the VERY dim and VERY small last line at the bottom of the description after you get by all the cool buzzwords like MINT, RUST FREE etc.PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER ITEMS I HAVE FOR SALE.
MOST OF ALL THANKS FOR VIEWING THIS ITEM.
THIS KNIFE IS MADE OF ORGINAL CASE PARTS FROM THE TIME ERA STATED ABOVE AND HAS BEEN RESEMBLED.
I guess it resembles a real Case if nothing else.

A total fake without even looking at the details...nothing about that knife is correct for a CASE XX era knife.

Too bad ebay doesn't do anything when you report fraud.I know,I've done it and all that happened was I got a "thanks for your concern" type email while the listing was allowed to stay with no corrections. How does that fit any definition of "mint" under those circumstances?
