Hi Badboycase,,I have almost the same system made by Lansky with a complete set of diamond stones and I really like it! It puts a clean razor edge on everything! The advantage i see of this one is that it has more adjustment holes than the Lansky...hope this helps, Tim
My name is Tim and i'm a stagoholic.

I use a GATCO that works on the same principle and find it works great. If you haven't been sharpening knives for a lifetime it is hard to keep the angles right, and these jigs are just the ticket. I know I could never get a proper edge on a knife until I started using my GATCO.

I haven't used the Schrade version, but this looks a lot like the LANSKY system. I've used one for years and I LUV it!

I also use and like the Lansky quite a bit. If the Schrade can be got with diamond hones I believe that would be worthwhile. I wore out two sets of the regular hones on my Lansky before buying the diamond hones.

I like these better than any I've seen. I've watched them demonstrated at a show, but didn't get one because I spent my whole budget on knives

I'll order one, or catch these folks at the next show. What I like about this system is that the guide rod inserts into a tightly fitting ball and is infinitely adjustable instead of slopping around in a limited choice of slots. Impressed me as a well thought out, quality product.

If it's meant for me to have it, it'll still be there.

Hey Fran, I like the looks of that set! Thanks for pointing it out. Most everyone knows about the Lansky and GATCO sets, so it is nice to see something new.
