I recently picked up this Schrade NY SS700 Melon Tester. When I looked on the site I did not see any listing for a pattern number 700. It is in very good condition with imitation Ivory handles, and it says Razor Blade Stainless Made in USA on the blade with a picture of a modern Razor blade - well one like my father used, I only use them to strip paint off a window or something!
I was guessing 1970 - 1980's?? Any help would be great!
(Pictures are not working right, I am on my work laptop - I will fix it tomorrow.)

Re: Schrade 700 Pattern Information.
P & T,
Sorry it took so long for me to see this, but I have been real busy lately......really since April.
The SS700 was made by Schrade from 1952 to 1983.
So your guess of 1970s or 1980s in within the range.
Way to read the knife!
