Need help finding a certain style of pocket knife

Post by bwylie »

Hi,
My father is a beef rancher and has lost his beloved pocket knife. I can't find one to save my life! If anybody can help or point me in the right direction, I would be extremely greatful. It is a very small single blade knife that has a hooked blade curving inwards towards the handle. In addition the knife has a serrated edge. He loves it because it doesn't weight much and it cuts hay bale strings effortlessly. Please if anyone knows what style or more importantly where to find one please let me know. My email is [email protected] Thanks!

Close but no cigar, the serrated edge is on the end of the knife, the perticular one he lost is also much smaller then the ones you listed. I greatly appreciate the help though. Imagine a really cheap lil china pocket knife with a serrated (spelling?) hook on the end and the blade is maybe 2" long.

Or imagine your 72 and can't keep your pants up because you have no waist, but need to cut hay bale strings as easy as possible to feed close to 500 head of angus beef and your a retired colonel and refuse to ever ask or even recieve any help!

AWESOME!!!!!!
they are available cheap on ebay!!! 'bout $12 bucks or so...........
they are called "BAKERS KNIVES"...............
and are of "ALOX" model line.......which means they have aluminum scales
and are made by VICTORINOX.........(tang stamp)
also some times tang stamp says "VICTORIA" or "INOXYD".......on older ones!

HOPE THIS HELPS

Hey bwylie! Are you sure that's your dad? In a lot of ways it sounds like my dad! I'm sure a lot of us here could say the same. God bless 'em all.
