Remington shield
I am new to the knife collecting and am starting to collect Remington knives . Can anyone tell me what I have here? I'll try to post a couple pics...

Not really sure about the knife, probably someone will come along soon who knows exactly what it is and who made, in the meantime, I can tell you that it appears to be a later contract made Remington not one of the original 1920's through 1940 made knives that were made by Remington themselves.

What you have there is a knife that I believe was made back in the late 90`s by camillus. Dont know the story behind the shield. I can tell you that Ive saw them also with smooth green and red delrin handles. Sorry i cant tell you more but Im sure someone will come alond with more info. That is an interesting shield though.
Sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand.

That shield is suppose to replicate a 12 gauge shotgun shell, much like the old Remington bullet shields were to replicate a 30 caliber rifle cartridge.
