"Hidden" dots

Just acquired a Case 6254 with a tang stamp that appears to be 1993-1999. I can't see dots because the bolster covers them (I assume they are there) no matter what postion I put the master blade in. Is this common?
Everything else about the knife appears to be genuine. It's not a new one, but in very good condition.

I've seen (or rather NOT seen) hidden dots on some models of Case Knives produced in the 70's because the dots were placed below the USA in the 70's I haven't heard of this happening on newer knives. Any chance you could post a picture of it?

If I can find my wife's camera, I'll give it a try. She is better at pics than me.

I did tale another look with a magnifying glass and see the tops of what I believe are two dots (based on how they are "centered" below the "usa").

Seems the 1978 series of trappers does a good job of hiding the dots ... I've had several that I thought were 65-69 only to find the two dots later upon close inspection. I recently sold a Case Red Bone Trapper that I genuinely thought was a 65-69 era knife only to have it returned .... dots were hidden very well until the buyer pointed it out to me. I gladly refunded the entire sale plus postage and learned a good lesson .... LOOK carefully.
