Hello, I'l like to Introduce Myself to the Forum

I'm John6553; I'd like to introduce myself to the AAPK. I'm new to the forum. I joined on Sept. 8, 2010 and this is my first chance to say hello. I joined, like everyone else, because I really like knives. Always have since as long as I can remember. I bought my first knife when I was 5 or 6 years old. There was an offer in my Bazooka Bubble Gum comic for a small Bowie style knife with a compass on the handle and it came with a leather sheath; it cost me ten cents and a three cent stamp. I still have that knife; I came across it a while ago in a box in the basement. I recently started collecting automatics: stiletto's, leverlocks, OTF's, swing guards and spring assisted knives, all of various sizes and handles. I'm here to learn more about knives. I would like to learn how repair, modify and to make my own knives. I've been reading some of the posts and I really like what I've read. This is a great forum! I'm glad I found this club
