" Case Classic Elephant Toe EBay auction "

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

" Case Classic Elephant Toe EBay auction "

Post by Roger - 50/2050 »

Howdy Boys,

----- Did anybody else besides myself, Ivan & Glenn watch the closing of item number #6565212998 for Buzz? This knife was a 1996 - 62050 Red Rogers bone - 1 of 168 (I think?) - Bomb shield - with the 1 of 9 made only limited special edition Single Bull Elephant etch, I was really surprised :o & shocked  but happy at the same time that the closing price for this knife was $400.00 +. This is a prime example of one of the reasons why I collect & have this pattern in my personal collection! ::tu:: .... I also know that the Parker's always command a higher closing price on most of the knives they run on EBay but on the same note I also know that each day as time goes on that there are many, many more newer collectors joining the hobby everyday & with them joining in on the bidding trail makes these knives acheive higher market values as time allows!

That is something else....

Oh, I wish I would have been more interested in the Classics a few years ago. I'm glad for those who had the foresight. ::tu::
