I'm not new here, just too lazy to post an introduction

Post by cusprider »

Hello everybody,

Well it has been a year since I became a member of THE BEST 8) and friendliest :D knife forum on the web.

I believe my first question was about pinned shields and since then, the replys have been very informative and sometimes
very humorous Oman,Owd Wullie msteele6, I still chuckle about muskrats-- but the replys have always been friendly.
So here's an attaboys ::tu:: to all the moderating team who help keep the site running smoothly amid the chaos and anarchy.

My hat's off to the sellers; with whom I deal with almost exclusively. Special mention to Kaleb,Dale and Lee.

For those who share their knowledge and pics, a very grateful thank you! Too many folks for an inclusive list, but a few that have helped me are
Miller Bro's, tjmurphy, knife7knut, ozzie marie, knifeaholic and PA knives

A triple ::ds:: ::ds:: ::ds:: for everyone, members or not, who have and will contribute to this community.

Oh I almost forgot. My name is William (cusprider) ,married father of two living near KCMO.

My father, who collected whittlers under the tutelage of old man Parker back in the day, introduced me to his collection. (Lured in) After buying a few for him, I decided to spend some quality time with him and indulge in his hobby (Trap Snaps!). A whole new world opened up as I begun to enjoy the search, history and craftsmanship found with knives(tried to run--chain anchored! )I soon found my niche with Pruners/Hawkbills-my favorite pattern. I will aquire an occasional whittler or something for trading stock within limits my wife sets for me (too dumb to chew my leg off).

Areas of interest:
Philatelist:member APS, I study Scott US 179/185, its varieties and use. Pre-WWII World
Knotting:member IGKT, interested in just about anything knotting.
Machirology:member NKCA,AAPK, as I've said; the History and use of Pruners/Hawkbills.
Just about everything:member of the Human race. Thumbs and Curiosity required.

Well that about all I want to say about myself. I hope to talk about knives with y'all and that I can help you folks with your questions.

Many Thanks, Wm

P.S. I know gino I got a 170th anniversery Kissing Crane whittler in trade for those Hawks of yours
No pics of my own but here's a link to a site that got a pic http://www.collectorknives.net/blowout.html
