Freebie: Schrade MacAurther video tape.

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Post by Gr8Scout »

In his thread: "Schrades, my first love", LT shows off one of the Gen. MacArthur commemoratives, and I ask him a question about a video tape that Schrade included with some knives.

So here it is: I have 19 of them to offer. I screened one last night as soon as they arrived. In black and white, narrated by Walter Cronkite. Not a valuable Schrade collectible, but an interesting one.

Please post here in this thread if you would like one. That way others will know how many I have left. then send me a private message thru the site here with your name and address. Don't be bashful. It is obvious to me that generousity is a virtue of AAPK and I just want to do my own small part. So help me out and take these off my hands!

Phil,
Whats the story behind finding these?
Did you have a breakin at a warehouse and find these and a bunch of the MacArthur commeratives? Your generosity to the knife nuts is awesome.

LT,
I know where yours is... It's with your other 2 and a dvd. I did send them back didn't I?

First five are packed and ready to ship. LT, I'm gonna send you one, you can pass it onto someone else if you find your own. Larry, you need one, or did you copy one of LTs?

Mossdancer, you are very generous.

All: I did check with Bryan first and he gave me the OK to do this. And free means free. You needn't send me anything for postage or whatever. It's the season for giving, so drop a few coins into a Salvation Army pot or add a buck to your own favorite charity when you give this year.

Larry: Break into a warehouse? Naw... I just have the knack for finding things.

Help me out guys, plenty left!

I am sure you did but you must remember at this point in order to breathe in here I have to use a hollow reed to get high enough to get above all this stuff. It seems to be developing a life of its own and is eating matter and drawing it into the center like a black hole. LT

Quick LT, throw me some knives so I can save them. Throw me the Naps, the Hammers, the NYKs, the Schrades, the Canal Streets and anything else you can reach.

OH NO! I am being drawn into the vortex with you. Yaaaaaah !!!

::yawn:: Ho hum...Wha...wha Where am I????

Darn, I hate it when I fall asleep at the computer. These Schradeaholic nightmares are something else!

I must be having the DTs, as I didn't get a knife in the mail today. But, I did get the Prince Albert can to go with a Ulster Old Timer display.  ::ds::

Delusionally yours,

One of our members came over for a tour on Saturday and as we dug our way through the Morass suddenly he pointed to a obscure shelf and said there is your Macarthur tape . Sure enough, so I no longer need one. I thought I would let you know. Thankyou anyway. Hope you guys are well. LT

Too late, it is in the mail already. Just give it to someone, LT.

Gave away a couple more.

Still 10 left. Although I thought this would appeal mostly to our American Members, I will ship to Canada, Australia, ect.

I got mine today also, but haven't had time to watch it yet. Probably won't get to it for a day or two. We are having high winds, 100+ mph on the coast & 70 mph here in the valley where I live. The lights keep flickering. I hope we don't lose power.

Tape

Post by Mossdancer »

Hi Phil;
Due to the great pruner that resides in the sky I spent the day cleaning branchs and such out of the way. Wasn't a hurricane, But a 32 hr sustained45-50 mph with gusts to above a hundred gets the brush out of the way. Wanted to go to Columbia river jetty to watch those 35-40 foot breakers but decided against. Anyway thats why I was late going to mailbox to get my tape which arrived today also.
Thank You Very Much,
Great Viewing,
W.B.
