The Meyerco's are really nice, but the kits are even nicer. You can't beat the Meyerco on a inexpensive out of box experience.
Here it is, it has really nice black/green G10 scales, a recurve blade, red G10 scale spacers and a solid spine that I will be fileworking.
When you pick this baby up it just feels heavy duty for a liner lock and the snap when you open it sounds like a LB7 for Buck 110. The weight with the solid spine is 6.2 oz.
I just have to do a bit more sanding to flatten out the back two scale screw heads and then do the file work before it hits the buffer.
While you can slap one of these together it's a fair amount of work to get it looking like this.
This baby is my new favorite
