Howdy

Post by Fleetwood »

Hi everyone! I'll try to be brief...

Long time lurker, first time member. Hope you'll have me.

Love hunting (rabbits, with beagles), fishing (fly mainly, river float fishing), bluegrass music (play in a local band, mandolin, guitar, fiddle, etc.), reading, writing, gardening, and of course, knife collecting.

New to knife collecting, own exactly, count 'em, 5 trappers, 1 peanut, one imperial scout with tremendous sentimental value, 2 case fixed blades, (see hunting), 2 stockmans, (or is that stockmen?), and a partridge in a pear tree. Sorry.

I love Case, Queen, S&M, GEC, CS, Fight'n Rooster, Bulldog, etc. One day I hope to own a knife made by the last 6 mentioned companies. Budget's kind of tight.

I have 3 daughters (see tight budget.) Ages, 5, 2, and 6 months. They are beautiful. They look like their momma, thank God.

My Dad and twin brother and myself are all into knife collecting but I'm the only one brave enough to jump on here.

We all work together in the HVAC business my dad started 30 years ago.

We live in God's country-northwestern NC.

I am sincerely looking to learn all I can about this wonderful hobby. I have read a lot, I have searched and searched and I love trying to spot counterfeits on ebay. I feel like I have only scratched the surface when I read some of ya'lls posts. I am in awe.

Again, thanks for having me. Don't worry, I can post pics and hope to be doing so soon. I've got to show off my measley collection!

Oh, this is my favorite emoticon ::ds:: !

Thanks guys, I look forward to it!

::welcome:: Dustin! Just make yourself at home. Sounds like your "addiction" started out just like everybody else's, a few knives here and there and before you know it, it'll be a chore just keeping them oiled up!
