new project
if this post isn't Ok with management just zap it - I started a new engraving project - it's on a Custom Tenneesse Valley .32 Ca. Poor Boy Squirrel Rifle i had Jack Gardner in Mississippi build for me about 25 years - it's been a beautiful wall hanger ever since - what i have done is created 2 new links on my site - Project PB before & Project PB After - I have all the pix's up on the before site - I will post pic's along the way and post them on the "after" link as i move along - so if your interested in this sort of thing as I think most knife guys are - drop in a take a look - it will take a few days to complete the rifle so check back - enjoy - tom

Re: new project
Tom, you do great work. I thought engraving like that was a dead art. Obviously not!

Re: new project
Well Tom,
As an Administrator on AAPK it is usually up to me to say what is or is not allowed.
I think this is definitely related to knives since you are using the same skills and tools as you do when you engrave knives.
Besides, what idiot goes hunting without a knife?
I think they are related!
No problem
Great stuff BTW, no beyond great, it is SWEET!
Not over done, simple and clean. I LOVE it!

Beautiful work Tom!
When I looked this morning you had not posted the the parts after they were engraved.
I am impressed. Absolutely Magnificent!
I can't wait to see what it looks like when you are finished with it and have it assembled.
I am also impressed by your vise....
Where could I find one like it?

Dale the vice is made by GLENDO Corp. - The engraving end of the corp is called GRS - just google GRS engraving - my sales rep is Aaron McMichael -nice guy - my vice is called the Maga Block - pretty hard to beat - Think i paid around $550.00 for this one - sounds expensive but it's worth every dime -will last forever - i saw a vice listed that was all polish stainless for $7,000.00! - some of the guy's charge 150 to 300 bucks an hour and stay busy - there are only maybe 25 guys in the world that can ask that kind of money & get it but their the best of the best! they can afford a vice like that - tom
