Slipjoint #1

Post by jkf96a »

I made 133 fixed blade knives before I made my first folder. Just got it finished up last evening. Designed basically from scratch using Crawford's and Moyer's tutorials, with some telephone input from Craig B. It isn't perfect, but the snap is good and the spring is close to flush in all 3 positions. Blade and spring are CPM 154, my heat treat. Hand finish to 400 grit. Handles are paper micarta with 1/8" brass pins.

It was a fun project, with a few setbacks. Guarantee I'll make some more folders though :)
