Well I am not sure what you are looking for I really do not do statistics like how many were made each year however I can give some backround . I am posting a pic with an earlier Imperial Kit Carson on the left notice the similarity of the handles to the next two knives to the right of it which are 160 patterns this is the same style of handle as your 165 pattern ( the material on the Kit is a delrin just a bit different from the later Schrade versions ) these patterns can be compared the last knife and blank are 165s as is yours however yours is handled in the the delrin imi stag that was actually a delrin cross between the look of the Kit Carson ( 70tys ) style handle and the delrin staghorn used on Uncle Henrys. ( NOTE The forth knife from left to right is a 160 in sawcut delrin just for pattern reference ).

They Schrade started using this in the 90tys. This was a popular handle with various clubs Ducks unlimited ect. It was a bit different than the UH line and offered an alternative and with a specialized etch became a unique issue to whatever organization wanted it.. Schrade messed with a multitude of handle materials as well as variaions of similiar blade patterns and sizes. I have included a display board which attempts to show this using the fillet pattern and even with this variety there were many more not shown. C. Catalog History Notes:
1 165UH in catalog from 1994 to 1997, limited production
2 All catalog issues were offered with a sheath

E. Special Editions, Side Stories, Notes:
1 The tang stamp should read “Schrade+” and the model number, “165UH”
2 There has been a number of rigid blade knives produced by Schrade, it is difficult to pick a particular predecessor, the 165UH blade pattern was similar to the 147 series produced in the 60s
3 The 165UH had an Old Timer version in the 165OT, produced from 1967 to 1991
4 The 165UH has been a favorite for special editions or commemorative issues

Due to the age of this particular uncle henry and the patina the blade shows, maybe this was pre Schrade+ stainless? Just a random thought

MM, You have good eyes.
My old 165UH is from the 1st couple years of production which were 68-70 with the S/W tang stamp. (Robert had this one wrong!)
The next release was in 94-96 with Stainless.
The 3rd release was in 98-2001 and another release after 2001 that were not marked with a shield and probably ment for the DU series or other commeratives.
