Winston Model 26 Medium Hunter- Maple Burl

Post by Spectrum »

I have no knifemaking skills at all, but I do appreciate the work of those who do. I also support the custom knifemakers by buying their products when I can afford to. I bought this one from David Winston who lives in Mississippi. It has stabilized maple burl scales with a black liner and stainless screws. The blade is 3 1/2" long and is made of D2 tool steel
and the knife measures 7 11/16 " overall. There is a bit of functional filework on the top of the blade that really helps in blade control. It balances very well and to my eye it is a thing of beauty.

Very nice looking piece. Full tang strength and a bit of a "guard" to keep your finger off of the the blades edge. Thanks for posting it!
