Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
it is a hunk of a knife...even with worn blades.
it was at the bottom of a box of junk knives...almost knocked the guy down trying to give him five bucks...'here take it quick before ya change your mind'.

Great finds guys. Tomorrow is playday for me.
First to Schomy's show, then on to the flea markets in and around Dayton, Oh. With any luck I will have something to post late in the day.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
It is supposed to be in Rogers Ohio - somewhere in eastern Ohio. It is only on Fridays and is supposed to be so big you cant make it thru in one day. I have never been there but have talked to a few people that have.

I live 60 or 70 miles west of Columbus Oh. Eastern Oh. is way out of my range. I am 25 miles ENE of Dayton, plus Friday is a workday for me. Just googled Rogers, Oh. It is about 40 miles due east of Canton, A dot on the map.

Rogers is one of Bret & my favorite places to go! It is huge & its a struggle to get through if I take my kids with us. I also like Hazen, which is in Brookville, PA area. It's not as big as Rogers, but I have found a few great knives there.
Hazen is where I found this for sale. It was laying in the back of a pickup.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Thanks! I am sure you will like Rogers. I have a good friend that is a dealer/collector. He actually leaves at 4 o'clock in the morning to get to Rogers on Fridays. He is under the impression that you find all the best knives with a flashlight at the fleamarket before dawn. He is most likely right, but I am not that early of a riser!gino wrote:Sweet knife Kathy. Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Today was playday and boy did I play
Traded two old twist ring knives for a Schrade Walden cattle knife and bought a Schrade Cut whittler, both at Schomy's show. The weather was fine and there were lots of buyers and sellers. Found another twist ring at a good price at a flea market. Life is good! These old twisters although not common are not rare in this area.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
I made a run through Gander Mountain today. Found this trapper on clearance for $30. I picked up a Buck 110 on sale also to replace the one that I gave my youngest son. The picture came from one of the on line stores. The other side is smooth red bone with a Stars and Stripes logo.

Nice price on that trapper. How much was the 110? I was just there last week and they had them in two different areas for two different prices

I am pretty proud of that one. He made E5 in the 6 years he was in. If you are interested in more photos of my boat ride, click on the picturetrail link at the bottom of the post.tc3500 wrote:Nice score !! And nice pic of you with your youngest in a diff thread here.

I got the 110 Buck for $30 also. It was the last one or I would have probably bought more.
