There are days when I strike out, but I still enjoy the people and conversation. There is something about a playday that makes me feel FREE. No work no schedule and no worries.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
hey gang, got to go to the flea market, found a couple of nice ones,
1. a solingen copperhead greenish stag eyeball, worn main blade, but holds an awesome edge and great snap and no wobble at all.
2. a camco jack with "protect your rights to bear arms" written on it, not a glamorous knife but a great message.
here are a few pics.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
It's been fairly slow lately but the last two weeks have picked up and I got this lot from two shows and a fellow collector that just buys and sells on but doesn't collect anymore.

I measure my collection by the ton.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
It must be really interesting to be a collector in the East. There might be a dozen of us in Wyoming, and no club. The nearest show would be at least 550 miles away, if Denver has one, which it might not. I wanted to go to the Oregon show this year but something came up. I have never been to a show, and it might be just as well; the folks there probably wouldn't like to see a grown man either weeping or slobbering, by turns.knifegirl888 wrote:Thanks! I am sure you will like Rogers. I have a good friend that is a dealer/collector. He actually leaves at 4 o'clock in the morning to get to Rogers on Fridays. He is under the impression that you find all the best knives with a flashlight at the fleamarket before dawn. He is most likely right, but I am not that early of a riser!gino wrote:Sweet knife Kathy. Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
I do feel very lucky to live in Western PA... I really enjoyed the Case knife show in Bradford, PA last year, but it was VERY hard on the wallet. We are hoping Queen has there show this summer, but I haven't heard of any details yet. I am sorry there isn't many shows out your way. What about flea markets or antique stores?tongueriver wrote:It must be really interesting to be a collector in the East. There might be a dozen of us in Wyoming, and no club.
