Yeah that 2 blade is one of my favs gmusic,super stout work horse.I'll snap a coulple more so you can see thickness,its a hoss.

So question for you and orvet,I had these in a safe deposit box for 15+ years sight unseen,oiled and waxed before put away wrapped in museum quality acid free paper,when I got them out the Ironwood is WAAAAY darker than when I put them away. Is that just a natural process for wood,is it something to do with a lack of light?? Just wondering if you guys had any thoughts on this.

ironwood will darken with time regardless. oils speed the process

I concur with MM, like a lot of woods desert ironwood will darken.

any wood from the desert will absorb moisture or wax or oil ...long after you cut it down.
