Vikingdog,

I am really sorry I didn't get to talk with you & your wife. I would have loved to have met you. Here are the knives Bret & I brought home with us. I took a group scan, but I will be posting some of them individually in the appropriate threads.

There is actually a Ka-Bar stag folding hunter that isn't in this scan that we bought from BigRon. Bret carried it home with him. I will try and scan it later.

It was a wonderful time!

Thanks, Joe! It is a lot of fun for Tyler, Bret & I. It was funny because Sunday after the show, Tyler asked if we could go to Kentucky Fried Chicken. When I said yes, he said "This has been the best two days of my life ever!" Spoken like a true 12 year old boy!

Nice knives Kathy! I was looking at that primitive bone Ben Hogan knife myself. My son and I have eaten at that KFC many times. It's the only buffet style KFC around. :D We'll all get together sooner or later.

We did get the buffet at KFC... only bad thing is Bret sang a song to the boys that is to the tune of "Yankee Doodle". It goes like this:

Colonel Sanders went to town
riding on a chicken,
stuck his finger up it's butt
and called it finger lickin'!

I had to hear that song over and over again by two giggling boys all the way home! :x  I deserve a medal that I didn't paddle Bret when we got here!!!

Mike, I liked the knife, and remembered of Ben Hogan, and that he was a colorful character of the oil days. Here is some more on him.

Bret was gigglin' along with Tyler & Ryan! Bret can be like a little boy at times.. ::nod:: When we pulled off to get gas, my little Ryan has to always unlock the door manually to get out of the car. Bret and Tyler are standing in the parking lot waiting for him (giggling). Here, Bret kept pushing the button on the key fob, which kept locking the door back up on the little guy. Ryan came flyin' out of the car smiling running straight towards Bret to get him!

Thanks for the link Bret, what a story! " After a brilliant career in sin, BEN HOGAN GOT RELIGION" I'd only ever heard of Ben Hogan the golfer. The GEC knife is a beautiful and elegant tribute to the other Ben Hogan. I think I'll have to look into one...

Thanks, guys!

Nice find, Gino! It's a wonder when we live so close, that Bret & I are able to snag anything good with you browsin' around.

Jimbo,

You look like you found the "end of the rainbow" & the pot was full of Case trappers! Very pretty colors!

We picked these up today.
