What are the options?
What do you with it that will be economically feasible?
Like Johnnie says, with it's history it's best left as is for a conversation piece. But if you wanted to get brave:
You could search for a better blade either in or out of a clunker knife that is worse off then this one, this could take a while!
If you are skilled enough you can make a new blade, but this would ruin 100% of market value, however you would have a neat carry.
It mainly depends on your purpose, do you want to keep the knife origional as possible, or do you just want a nice carry knife with a bit of character? I was going for the latter, plans on natural bone scales and you'd have a nice carry knife, but the blade is shot. I have found that the two most common problems are broken/worn out blades and broken or worn springs. Also, these two parts are the hardest to find. Frames are a dime a dozen, but a good blade or good spring is quite a find, if of course it is the same model as your frame.
I still haven't found any blades for that nice old Schrade cut co that Pa sent me

Only a matter of time before some turn up though.
