today sence I'm between jobs I was cleaning out my tool buckets I found a Buck 505 I had misplaces good little workhorse.I am now going to clean out all my tool boxes

Slow day today but did stir up a couple. Not much but its something.

Utica Sportsman Fixed blade w/sheath
Shell handle single blade (looks like a old Hammer Brand)
Utica Cutlery Co.
Imperial Shell handle USA 2 blade

Barn sale finds still no camera but things look better Wind farm tubine jobs are starting to hire

Anywho picked up two knives and a nice old Camillus NO.3 sheath for a folder nice leather and snap;MAIN BLADE LINE 1 MORLEY LINE2 & SONS LINE3 NEWYORK opposite side four leaf clover;second blade now here is the twist 4 line 1st line W.H. next two lines MORLEY-& SONS 4TH LINE GERMANY,Half congress jigged bone,ringbolsters opposite side 4 leaf clover very well built..Next knife a well pocket worn Ulster L1 ULSTER L2 KNIFE USA NOTHING OPPOSITE SIDE,Nickle silver bolsters,dropped bevel swedge jigged bone,swayed back jack BEAUTIFUL going to be EDC

Yeah Johnnie, I think they are buffalo horn. Made in Seki japan. Quality made knife.

Ulster WAS going to be my EDC but the kids got me my dream knife a Case 62130SSdark red gunstock script twas a great fathersday

my wife says they should have got me a camera

I found this knife at a garage sale.
I was very happy till I opened it.
How could anybody do this to a knife?
It's my new everyday carry, I don't have
to worry about scratching the blade.

This knife is a E254 (Frostwood handle)
made in 1986.

Coal, looks like someone tried to sharpen that with a chainsaw. I still like it and I think that makes a great EDC.

Shame when you get one like that makes me wonder what happened to em that the PO thought they had to use a grinder or a wire wheel to dress em up
I put those types of knives to work in the garage er wherever--just got a Boker that had the blades ate up by somebody using a grinder on the main blade i'll use it in the garage

I think people get in a hurry, they think it's faster
using a grinder rather than a stone.

This is what one of those knife sharpeners on the back of an electric can opener will do to your knife.
I have seen this same scratch pattern many times.
"NEVER USE THAT SO CALLED SHARPENER ON THE BACK OF YOUR ELECTRIC CAN OPENER"!!!!!!
Have a quality knife like this one professionally sharpened if you can't handle it.

This Buck 55 came today and I really like it.
The only thing wrong with it was the bolsters were all scratched right out of the blister pack. ???
I am gonna use this one so I really dont mind. Very cool little knife.

Here's an interesting one I found - A. Field & Co over PROGRESS. Reference states Prussia / Germany circa. 1886 - 1942 (about the same time we started bombing raids in WWII Im guessing) Broken secondary, but the cool thing is the scales, I think it's tortise shell ??? Is it possible, I know it's been outlawed, but for how long ?

UPDATE - I did the steel wool test.......... celluloid.
