Now that's really cool. I love to put advertising or a box with the knife. Nice job Wayne. I bid on the knife was was not going to go high. Not in love with the celluloid ones. Still a great knife and would have looked good with the others I have. Glad that it was you who got it.

Thanks Mike. I think we must have similar tastes as I really do not care much for celluloid either. This is my first celluloid Press Button. This one seemed to have really nice clean readable scales and once I had found the ad that was a bonus . I've been picking up a few ads lately to go along with my press button collection. I also enjoy this other "Hoff's" ad . I might make a small display just around the Hoff's knife(s). So I might even try to find two of these knives one showing each side placed in the display with a few of the trade card ads. Not sure if the Muscle Man ad can be found on a trade card or not. I hope so and that its in color . I was told the Muscle Man was a Real Person.The back of my card tells about Hoff's receiving highest Award at the World's Colombian Exposition in Chicago in 1893 The muscle man was not set up at the Chicago exposition but he did have a side show act going on across the street...piggy backing off the fair and it's crowd.

Here are my latest pick ups. The Press Button has a great etch. The Pull Ball is an early one with only one Pat number on the blade and the loop is marked OSBORNE. The watch is 12K gold filled but it is really cool with the knife!!!

The Camco is a hard one to find and works by pushing on the tab at the back of the knife and it pops out enough to open the blade.

Mike all I got is WoW ! on the Press Button and the others .Those are some rare examples. Can I call dibs if you decide to ever sell that Press Button ? for real ? Thats a amazing etch ! Were you able to find out any info on the etch. Heres what showed up in the mail yesterday . Pretty decent haul. I did track down a few other Press Buttons but just not of the quality you've found Lately . WOW
I've managed to pick up a few lately.Most of the vintage Americans are parts knives but there just happen to be a diamond in the rough.

Its a Coricama 11" Kriss its on SD auction .I just put it on there. Little work it would be nice ! It 1 of 3 or 5 known.another one of those just sold for over $2000 recently,There one the rarest Coricamas known. I might be willing to do a little trade ? Here is a link to more pictures.

I finally got a William Henry Auto. I have been looking for one I could afford for awhile now and just picked this one up. As with all WH knives this one is really well made. The button has a citrine stone. The man I got this one from has another with a pearl stone in the button and it is also for sale. Now to save some more money!!!

A PRESTO Paratrooper - black wormgroove plastic handle, clip blade, bail. Still unopened in original wrapping paper. So I guess we just have to imagine what it looks like...

I agree I picked up a few nice ones . Including this Schrade Cut Co silver tip in bone. It's never even been sharpened. I was surprised when it showed in the mail with the little leather case.

I use to have a flask with this same Face on it...

Nice knives....and I agree,I prefer the the metal handled press buttons.

That really is a cool flask ! PBKC did two different knives with slightly different faces. Here is a better view of the larger 3 3/8"
