Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Yesterday's haul. I expected more from a 1000 stall antiques show but then again I'm sure there was more than one knife collector on the prowl so I missed a few.

I measure my collection by the ton.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
The equal ended one is an IXL George Wostenholm four piece. These are great knives but have plastic scales. It is a very good quality of plastic similar to delrin however. The other two are what are called Lambsfoot knives because of the shape of the blades which are usually stamped Real Lambsfoot Knife on the flat of the front side. The top one of those two is actually nicely jigged bone, the bottom one is stag.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Well, I think I did Ok today with my estate sale ventures. The family, ( I believe their last name is Brainerd, Brainerd Meats ) Mom & Dad have passed on, so the daughter had an estate sale of their belongings. I headed for the basement actually looking for tools. There weren't many tools to be had but I got to rooting thru this tub on the floor and turned up a Gerber in it's sheath, marked at $4.50. That's a no brainer. But I didn't know which Gerber this was. Turns out to be Gerber Bolt - Action drop point, never having been sharpened yet. What a sweet knife
! A good day.

It's a sweet knife JR! I have to hold it for a short while, just to appreciate it. I'll be back in touch with you though. After all, I buy for re-sale. You spoke up first so I'll be sure to contact you first. Bull
