here is one i picked up a couple days ago the name is EDGE solingen germany i dont know much about it but the price was rite and its a pretty little knife and was told it was pre 70s

here is the last catt i got this one about a week ago and was told that the handels had been changed but still a good looking old knife

i went out yard sailing for a couple hours eariler and this is what i found its a shapleigh st.louis usa m.i. germany what cought my eye was the shield it has one on each side so i thought that it would look good in my collection i dont know anything about shapleigh knives i hope that some one will give me a little info on the knife when i get done eating lunch im going back out looking for more keepers

You've got some fine luck. ::tu::

I've been stuck in with the little monster for most of the day so only managed to come up with one small William Rodgers, Sheffield, Bowie knife. It does still have the etch on the blade and fair bit of it's original polish though.

I have seen quite a few that are made in Germany......seem to be very well made knives. ::tu::
It wouldn't surprise me if the Parkers had their hands in the mix some how. ::nod::

ive been doing a lot of driving been on 127 through kentucky all the way down to georgia and ya ive had some pretty good luck at finding them this year i uasually save money all year then when the 127 yard sale comes around i go hunting i uasually get 3 or 4 a year but this year i have already got 6 and one more day left of the yard sale

The only way to tell the age on most English knives is to find them in a dated catalog. I would guess the 1970's give or take 5 years one way or the other, for this one though.

I got this Remington R7833 Jumbo Sleeveboard with two broken off blades on the 127 Yard Sale near Jamestown, TN. Also found a mint Schrade USA Uncle Henry LB5 and sheath.

The 127 yard sale follows U.S Route 127 and the sales run from Michigan on down into Georgia or maybe Florida.

Picked up this set the other day.

This is every pattern made in the Case Classics in stag except the barn door hinge toothpick and it was never made in stag.

I saw that thread so I looked it up. The 127 yard sale starts in Hudson, Michigan and ends in Gadsden, Alabama even though Highway US 127 officially ends in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
