found this old Camillus at the flea market for 2$,was just gonna do a rehandle and touchup on the blades,but couldnt resist taking it apart and redoin' the whole knife.

Hey Dale,usually talk to you on the chat.There is a woodworkers show in South Jersey once a year,one guy sells pen turning supplies (he also has a few lathes set up so people can turn their own pens)He has a great selection of acrylic pen blanks,I always buy a couple but havent made any pens yet,so when I bought tht knife i fugured id'e put one to good use.

I usually dont remove all pitting if i think its gonna make the blade to thin,especially at the tang,i didnt know how it would impact the function,and wanted to retiain the blade stamp.I also dont "buff" blades,I use synthetic waterstones then blend with diamond paste on stiff cardboard,dont like it when a knife is overbuffed like the Elephant Toenail someone was asking about from EPrey and all the edges are rounded.

Very nice job. How'd you do the shield? Is it inlayed, or just glued on? Those shields were originally pressed into the scales, I believe.
