College Football

Post by 1967redrider »

So I'm sitting here wondering if the WVU/Marshall games is ever going to come back on and I started wondering if any of you guys follow college football. I'm a WVU alum from back in 1989 and cheer for the Royal Blue and Old Gold almost every weekend from September -(hopefully) January. Here's a few pictures I have stashed away in photobucket.

So who's your favorite college football team?

They finally called the game due to lightning. ESPN reported that a fan got struck by lightning, hope the person is ok.

Saw that about the game a few minutes ago, I hope if someone did get struck they're ok. I know they were doing their best to get people out of the stands but some are a little more hard headed than others.

I prefer college football over the NFL! Don't get to watch as many college games as I used to when I worked in a cigar bar, but I pick up a few snaps here and there. Nothing like cold weather and college football!

Fav team? None really. LOVE all of college football!!

Oh yeh, see it now. That'd give an uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach. How many does that stadium hold, about a million?? Sure are a lot of people there.

Got that right Bronc!

Clemson averages over 79,000 fans per game
Official seating capacity is listed as 81,300 or so (including 4,000 on "the hill")
The record attendance was over 86,000 fans for the first "Bowden Bowl".

If you count all the folks outside tailgating, there are probably close to 100,000 people around the stadium on gamedays.
This makes it the 2nd largest City in SC on gamedays. (Columbia, SC has a population of 117,000)

The usual population of the town of Clemson, SC is 11,939 per the most recent census.
