If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Netflix

Post by johnnierotten »

I know a lot of People are dropping their cable and switching to online streaming sites like NETFLIX & HULU PLUS ...I have and I'm saving about $65 per Month. ::groove::

If you have Netflix...they've added some movies to the "Gritty Action & Adventure of the 1970's" genre ...they're some really good movies..Like.."Charlie Varrick" ..and "Soldier Blue"...and "Emperor of the North" also "Raid on Rommel"....just to name a few. ::tu:: ....A couple of my fav 70's are "Kelly's Heroes" , "Vanishing Point"....and "Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry" .

They have a lot of the old Westerns also ..which are my favorite. ::tu::

Yeah....they actually raised their prices......it didn't matter to me,all I wanted was the streaming content anyways....I pay $7.99per Month ..that gives me unlimited streaming....and I also pay $7.99per Month for Hulu Plus. ::nod::
I have Netflix mainly for movies and Hulu for TV shows. :) ..With Hulu Plus. I can watch mainline shows the following day they were aired on TV. ::tu::
With streaming I pay $17 and some change Monthly ...for the same shows that I was paying cable $75per Month....and I actually get 3 times the amount of content....and I can watch it anytime I want!!...Now if you don't consider that a deal....I believe there's no help for ya. ..

This isn't for everyone...I will admit. ::smirk:: .Like my Parents for instance...they would never ever dream of ditching their cable. ::disgust::

I go wirelessly through my XBox 360. But you can go through different devices like all the game consoles...some DVR's..DVD players....and yes, there is some TV's that can do it.
There is this one little device (I forgot the name) but it only costs $59....If you have an ethernet plug on your TV..you might want to give it a try. ::nod::
