Tailgate steps or ladder for pickup truck

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Tailgate steps or ladder for pickup truck

Post by treefarmer »

Does any one have any experience or information on steps or ladders that attach to the tailgate. I'm getting too old to have to climb over the gate by way of the hitch and bumper. And jumping off the tailgate sure ain't good on these old knees. I've seen these devices advertised but would appreciate some input from folks that may have experience with this. Thanks for any info. does that mean you have to buy the truck to get the built-in ladder? i usually just place my stepladder up to the tailgate, with my bad back, crawling up n jumping down just isn't a good option. but i find myself doing just that when i dont have a ladder handy.

What a bunch of geezers. I thought I was the only one that has trouble getting in and out of the bed of my truck. Damn, what a pain. Literally.

my f250 sits kinda high. tailgate looks like its 3 stories up at times. i have a contractors cap on the back too, what a treat it is when i have to put my ladders on top. but for the inside of the box i have a long handle 5 prong hay rake for reaching in to pull out items.
