I recieved a new 4" toothpick in the mail today and the blade is off center enough to hit the brass liner.
Is there a way to get the blade closer to center? Thanks

Re: Fixing off center blades
A technique called "crinking" is used to bend the blade slightly at the tang. It's really not a job for amatuers to do becuase if performed incorrectly the blade can be broken. You said it is a new knife. If it's "new" as in recently manufactured, you should contact the maker and find out if they will correct this defect free of charge. If it's a US maker I'm guessing they will do so.

I tried to crink a blade once, and you are right. The blade broke. Thats the last time I ever tried that.

Thanks Philco, It's a new Case. I tried to put some pressure on the blade to straighten it a bit, but did not want to hurt the knife so I'm leaving it to the experts at Case. Thanks for everyones input.

Definitely! If it is a new knife….don’t mess with it, just send it back to them.
