Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
I've actually managed to find two Sabre that were decent quality knives. They must have made some good ones in the beginning.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
That's a much nicer looking Sabre than I'm accustomed to seeing. Good find.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
I picked up these two Valley Forge knives at a gun show the other day. I was hesitant to buy the lockback because of the two chips in the handles, but it's pre-Boker ownership and the seller let me have it for only $20.

This nice old knife came in today. I bought it from a nice lady in Arkansas.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Thanks guys.
Gringo, this is a hefty knife. And they must be old. Plenty of time to wear the blades down.
I forgot to mention it is a gunstock. In case you didn't notice the slight curve in the frame in the blade well.
It's 3 9/16". It has a little wobble in the main. Not much.
Johnnie; what leans you to Sheffield? That square cap bolster? Thanks.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
FRJ wish I had some info but that's one sweet looking gunstock.
I love that stag, paul, I need to pick up one of those Whalers.
I found this ol' Catt, think it's a 21479. Jigged bone handles, 3 3/8", barehead regular jack, I think she's worth the $33 plus shipping I paid. Note- don't let the red background make you think this came from a usual eBay suspect seller. I picked this one up at auction, can't wait to see the mailman!
