A lurker comes out of the shadows

Post by jaswarb »

Hello everyone. My name is Jim Benson. I have been lurking here for months only making a couple of posts.
My original interest was sharpening knives but things just seemed to get out of hand and now I own more knives than I can possibly use and can't seem to learn enough about cutler's skills and old knives.

Spear points, stag scales, old brass liner locks, rat-tailed bolsters, congress patterns, old rich brown colored bone, and ez openers lock my attention like like deer to headlights.

A box full of old TL-29's will keep me busy this winter modifying and customizing. It is a great way to better understand the skills and challenges of the trade while preserving some dexterity in my stiffening old hands.

The members here are a friendly lot who seem focused on sharing and enjoying and I am happy to come aboard.
My two cents and worth just what you paid.

I been lurking on a lot of knife sites but this one is where I keep returning. Friendly folks willing to share their wisdom and great deals in the stores. It would seem the .0001% is the good guys and they are all right here. I just finished my first TL-29 mod and I am trying to get a light box setup soes I kin take sum pitchers to post.
My two cents and worth just what you paid.
