3 old razor hones for sale or trade...

I picked up 3 old razor hones, all in good, usable condition.
Make me a reasonable offer, cash or trade and you will probably be the new owner of them.

Left...Marked, "Schumate/ St. Louis".

Center...Marked, "Schumate/ Dry/ Barber Hone".

Right... Marked, "Franz Swaty/ Wahring Bie Wein/ Austria".

A Barber Friend of mine looked them over and said that in spite of a couple of small chips out of the middle one that all 3 are in good, usable condition and that all three of them are at least 75 years old, if not older.

used to collect these hones & will mention that the Frantz Swaty from Austria was considered the cadillac of razor hones. we used them in the 70s to really finish out our edges. they are still handy for fine edges but the spydie ceramic hones pretty well pushed that use out of the picture. hones were the last step before stropping.---HiPower
