You are looking at a gorgeous Elephant Toenail knife made by W.R. Case and Sons. Closed knife measures approximately 4 1/4inches long. Blades measure 2 inches and 3 inches long. Open knife is approximately 9 1/2 inches long. Stamp on the blade indicates this knife was made pre-1920 (see photo). This knife has a stag handle with the Bowtie Shield and raised letters. This knife is in excellent condition.

I am no Case expert, for certain, but there doesn't appear to be anything that I like about that knife...

i kinda agree with you there kathy, that tang stamp alone seems to be riding on a wave.

Total fake. Probably made out of a 1970's 6250...new handles, shield, and stamping.

I agree non of the manufaturuing methods on that knife are consistent with the WR era.

The handles and the shield from a Case Classic were enough to scare me away without looking any further.
