This Walther P22 is a bunch of fun to shoot. They even sell a silencer for it (if you complete gov't registation).

Model '63 Winchester.

There was an earlier version, the Model 1903, that was chambered for the 22 Winchester Auto. The guns look and function exactly alike but the ammo is not interchangeable.

I had a Model '63 many years back. It was tack driving SOB and about 98% it had a spot of bluing about a quarter inch square missing off the forend cap, other than that it was flawless. Still kicking myself in the ass for selling it.

this .22 is the older model, i thought a 1907...but o3 could be it...the rifle takes special ammo...looks like a 22 short...but not...which is why it is now a wall hanger...it is still a functional rifle.

M.B. that is a great link. Some of those really speak to me, like the pocketknife gun.
Others, I just wonder "what the heck?" :D

Does a 1946 K22 qualify for admission to this party?

Hey Ranger, nice pistols and I really like the 26. If only Glock would add a manual safety it would be the perfect gun. There's a video of a Glock set up to fire auto and the guy runs 500 rounds through it, one mag after another, with no failures. Pretty impresive.

Thanks Murph, I've resisted the Glock urge for 25 years, but the HK gets too bulky for EDC sometimes.
I guess Glock is the AK-47 of the pistol world. ::shrug::

Hey Jerry,
Yep, "considered" only. I am a bit of a tightwad, but they are excellent guns. The P220 and P250 compacts speak to me.
someday, maybe someday.... when my ship comes in. :)

My father in law gave me a M1 Garand (Springfield) for Christmas. He's had it since the 1990s or so. The receiver serial number (6 digits) dates it to April 1941 - pre-war - does that make it rare? This is a Blue Sky- Virginia import (stamped on barrel) that was evidently sent to South Korea sometime in the 50s or 60s and shot to hell. The barrel looks nice but swallows a .30.06 shell up the the brass (and can even wallow around a little bit). The stock looks brand new - probably replaced by Blue Sky when they brought it back from Korea in the 80s / 90s.

I called Springfield and they will replace the barrel for $209.....so I think I will do that.

Unk, The age of your M1 adds to the value, but unfortunately the Koreans didn't take very good care of our M1's. That fact can negatively affect the value. Rebarreling is a good idea, in my opinion, if the rest of the gun is good.
