This little Ka-Bar

I recently received this little knife in a lot off E-Bay. I assume it has a broken pin. I guess what I'm asking is what you would do to repair this knife? I was going to use the "razor blade through the body" to get it apart, clean it, then replace the pins. It looks like a straight forward job, but I don't want to mess it up more than it is. Is there a better way?

It appears the pin is gone from one end already.
That makes it easier to use the razor blade method.

I'd recommend at a least a 24 hour soak in lemon oil prior to disassembly. This will loosen up and gunk, make the handles more pliable and less likely to break, give them a nice sheen, rehydrate them, make your knife smell good and lube the razor blade in it's travels all at once.

Will I need one head spinner or two? The only reference I can find is this one.

if you're at all handy with a hammer you wont even need a spinner. They arent cost effective unless you plan on doing a lot of knives. That knife is so old they were probably hand peened anyway
