The tang stamp puts it at 1973 or later.
1983 was the last year it was in the catalog; so I would put that knife 1973-1983.

To narrow it down in broad terms... With NY used in the stamp, I would guess closer to 1973, than to 1983. The NY was used for a longer stretch in some patterns, and not used at all in others, but right after 1973, after Walden was dropped was when it was first used. Eventually the NY was dropped as well.
