IMB,
That's a peach of a 56.
Nice snag. GECs dogleg is one of my favorite patterns.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
FRJ - looks like the 'reverse' has to do with the curvature of the backspring.
The top 2 knives in your pic looks like one is a dogleg and one is a reverse dogleg. Cool!!

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Love them bolsters IM! Looks to be German made, not too sure about the Boy Scout thing though.
Gino, nice finds! I have a Remington auto (made by Schrade, I think) with that same tang stamp, know what years they were used?
Edit: Duh! I see now '35-'40. Nothing so blind as an eye that won't see!

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Nice score's Gino & IM. Here is my hauls for the day. 1st pic on left, moving L to R, Ulster U.S.A. scout knife, to it's right, a Wostenholm IXL, and the bottom is a E.C. Simmonds " Keen Kutter " MOP handles congress pen. The pic on the bottom, Keene on Broadway, New York City, to the right of that, Wester Bros., and the shears are Wolstenholm, IXL measuring in at 8 inches. Great estate sale

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Thanks Gino, S-46, my apologies for rather poor pics. S - 46, the tang on the knife you asked about states; Keene ( brand ) W. Broadway, New York, N.Y. / Germany. My issue ( 2010 ) of Blades Guide to Knives and their Values states; trademark made by Napanoch, New York, N. Y., U.S.A., Whls. firm, 19??, but does not list Germany as the tang stamp does. So that's as much as I know at this point, but I did get all 6 pieces for less than a full $20.00
Dale.
The $ value lists that particular knife at H ( high ) but we all know it's only worth what people are seriously willing to pay. Personally, this is the first one I have come across. Dale
